Finished in a blaze of intricate floral patterned leaf themed designs, over a choice of Blackburst with a maple fingerboard or Blueburst with a rosewood fingerboard, both with custom inlays, the Joe Doe ‘Lutetia’ 4 string double cutaway electric bass, is themed around the exact recreation of the bass played by Lutetia Seydoux, a mythic pioneer of all things punk and another exquisite model from the mind of Joe Doe designer, Ben Court.
Whilst it’s pretty on the eye, loaded with a Wilkinson WOJB single coil pickup at the bridge and the classic split-coil design of the WOPB midway, the sonic versatility of this workhorse bass with a USA Alder body, gold plated Wilkinson WBBC bridge, WJBL200 machine heads and GraphTech nut, is enormous, delivering solid sub-bass frequencies with high end clarity.
