Danelectro has introduced the newest addition to its line of uniquely stylish 4-string basses: the Red Hot Longhorn.

Sporting an eye-grabbing red top with cream binding and an f-hole – along with black headstock, neck, back and sides – no other bass looks, sounds and feels like this one!

The Red Hot Longhorn brandishes a pair of high impedance, high output Danelectro pickups. It’ll deliver a huge array of bass tones, ranging from sonic boom to Nashville-style tic-tac…and everything in between.

First introduced in 1958, Danelectro’s classic Longhorn body shape and short-scale neck is revered for its distinctive sound, heard on countless recordings. The newest Longhorn carries on this proud tradition but adds some modern touches to its timeless appeal. With its 29.75″ neck scale and f-hole construction, the Red Hot Longhorn offers ultra-comfortable playability and weight.

Red Hot Longhorn features include:

  • Red Hot top and black back & sides
  • F hole and top body binding.
  • Two Danelectro® 50’s pickups, CRL pickup selector
  • 29.75″ short-scale neck with Rosewood fretboard and 24 frets
  • Traditional bridge with single adjustable rosewood saddle
  • Black die-cast master volume and tone knobs

Danelectro’s Red Hot Longhorn bass carries a street price of $599.
