LEVITATION 2019: Death By Audio Effects Pedals and The Black Angels Announce Limited-Edition Phosphene Scream Space Trippin’ Delay and Reverb Effects Pedal

Influential DIY effects pedal company Death By Audio announces exclusive limited-edition delay and reverb pedal collaboration with members of The Black Angels ahead of LEVITATION 2019 in Austin, TX.

QUEENS, NY –– Boutique effects pedal manufacturer Death By Audio Effects Pedals announced the limited-edition PHOSPHENE SCREAM space trippin’ delay and reverb pedal available for pre-order from the Levitation webstore on September 12, 2019.

A collaborative design between Alex Maas and Christian Bland of The Black Angels with Oliver Ackermann of Death By Audio and A Place to Bury Strangers, the Phosphene Scream is a compact delay and reverb effects unit designed to pay tribute to the unmistakable sounds of Austin’s psychedelic rock legacy while also being a reverb and delay pedal so totally awesome that it’ll dig craters on the moon and give you real-life flashbacks.

The Phosphene Scream combines two of the most sought-after effects in psychedelic music into a meticulously tuned delay and reverb unit that covers everything from shag-carpeted room sounds through realistic halls all the way to the kind of trippy never-ending delays that still cause flashbacks years later. This one-of-a-kind lysergic ambience generator uses multiplied reflections of segments of comb-filtered waveforms to create a thick, sticky reverb with hazier vibes than long summer nights (and early mornings) in the Red River District.

The pedal features an intuitive three-knob, one-switch multifunction control layout that allows players to warp from small and fast reflections to infinitely mirrored, washed-out micro-loops of sound. Reverb simultaneously adjusts the reverb decay time and wet/dry mix, Feedback sets the delay volume and number of repeats, and D-Time adjusts the delay time from ultra-tight comb filtering reflections through the end of time.

The Phosphene Scream is limited to 420 units worldwide and is available for pre-order exclusively on the Levitation webstore at 11:00 AM EST on September 12, 2019.

Any remaining units will be for sale during LEVITATION in Austin, TX November 7-10, 2019.
