Vintage add 6 and 12 string models and new finishes to its successful VSA500 ReIssued Series of semi-acoustic guitars
(United Kingdom 2019) Vintage have added new upgrades and additions to their highly successful VSA500 ReIssued Series of semi-acoustic guitars. New finishes for the original VSA500 maple bodied guitars include Natural Maple and Walnut finishes with chrome hardware, and a Black Gloss guitar with gold hardware. All semi-acoustic models feature mahogany set-necks, off-set heels and staggered double cutaway body designs that offer effortless playability and access to all areas of the fingerboard.
Once again, a pair of Wilkinson® WOCHB hum cancelling pickups bring more than a fair share of smiles as they deliver old and new style mellow jazz tones. There are no sonic rules for the good old semi-acoustic, hence Vintage VSA500 guitars are enjoyed by a wide range of players around the world playing Jazz to blues, country to funk, and indie to rock.
Vintage VSA500-12 Semi-acoustic 12 string
Fresh for 2019 is the long awaited Vintage VSA500-12 semi-acoustic 12-string in Cherry Red or Sunburst, fitted with a pair of Wilkinson® WOCHB hum cancelling pickups delivering exceptional clarity and versatility whilst capturing the natural, melodic 12 string chime, coupled with an airy woodiness from the hollow, maple body construction.
As most guitar players will be aware, one of the original ideas behind semi-hollow guitars was to deliver the acoustic properties of archtop guitars at louder volumes with reduced feedback, this is where all models in the Vintage VSA500 Series shine.
VSA500P Twin MW90
Maple is also the chosen wood for the new Vintage VSA500P Twin MW90 semi-acoustic offered in Natural Maple and Vintage Sunburst. Fitted with a Tune-O-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece, a pair of Wilkinson® MW90 pickups deliver warm, sparkly, single coil characteristics played clean, or play dirty for that unmistakable punchy, mid-range, overdriven single coil bite with the snarl of a humbucker.
Looking elegantly understated in their new finishes, with bound necks and bodies, all models in the Vintage VSA500 Series semi-acoustic guitars, have a very easy and accommodating feel that facilitates all styles, from fingerpicking to excessive string bending and offer exceptional value for money.
