AKRON, OHIO, JUNE 2024 – Two of the most avant-garde brands in the world of effects pedals join forces to revamp the Time Shadows™ Subharmonic Multi-Delay Resonator. The original Time Shadows was released in 2020 in a limited edition of 1,000 and sold out immediately. It has been fetching high prices on Reverb ever since.

“I was thrilled about this project, especially since we’ve grown close with the EarthQuaker crew and have been huge fans of their wild sound manipulators for years. Jamie and I had often talked about collaborating on some designs, so when Jamie asked me to, I was immediately on board.” says Oliver Ackermann, Founder of Death By Audio.

DBA and EQD felt it was high time to bring the Time Shadows back into production and get it in the hands of sonic explorers everywhere, without the collectors’ price tag. The updated Time Shadows will not be limited; plus, it has some additional new features like a 3rd delay mode, user-assignable expression control, and six preset slots to save and recall your favorite settings.

The new Time Shadows features three wildly different modes that share a perfectly designed harmony. The EQD Mode is an envelope controlled sub-octave filter delay, the ALL NEW !¡ Mode is a dual delay where each repeat simultaneously shifts up and down with each regeneration, and the DBA Mode is a multi-delay regenerating filter. All three sounds are designed to be completely complementary and suitable for every style and genre of music.

And because everything looks better in black, DBA and EQD are releasing a special Cyberpunk edition of Time Shadows in a black enclosure with graphics by Oliver Ackermann. The Cyberpunk edition will be limited to 500 units and is only available from the EarthQuaker Devices Reverb shop.

Each Time Shadows comes with a lifetime warranty and is lovingly built by druids with very soft hands in the tiny hobbit hole of Akron, Ohio. Time Shadows is available now at EarthQuaker Devices dealers worldwide.
