The Vintage® ICON™ distressed V65V with its unending appeal of the offset solid bodied electric guitar, will not only please armies of cult followers of this classic, timeless trendsetter, it also combines an incredibly authentic worn concept of a well played, but looked after guitar from the early 60’s.
Available in an incredibly realistic Distressed Black or Distressed Tobacco Sunburst, all scuffs and abrasions on the front, sides and rear of the body are undertaken by the skilled team of Vintage luthiers.
The Vintage ICON V65V follows a traditional tonewood combo, with a lightweight alder body and bolt-on maple neck. It’s here where the worn concept extends in a subtle format to the one-piece neck with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile, whilst the 22 fret rosewood fingerboard delivers excellent note response, superb playability and outstanding tonal transfer providing plenty of glassy top end and solid mids.
Couple this with a pair of Wilkinson Soapbar single coil pickups, and the V65V effortlessly performs musical genres associated with off-set guitars, think Indie, Punk and Garage or indeed Surf where the extra-long arm of the floating offset vibrato is all so perfect to combine pre and post chord and lead line bends whilst strumming.
Fitted with a precision cut 43mm Graphtech NuBone nut, and Wilkinson WJ55 machine heads offering smooth string bending and superb tuning stability, the Vintage ICON V65V is equally at home with low or high wattage-amps in the studio or live environment.
