Line 6 Releases Free 2.0 Firmware Update for POD Go and POD Go Wireless Amp & Effects Processors – Our Largest Ever

CALABASAS, Calif. November 7, 2023 — Line 6 today introduced the free POD^® Go 2.0 firmware update, which applies to both the POD Go and POD Go Wireless amp and effects processors. Version 2.0 is the largest POD Go update ever, and the fourth since the product launched.

“POD Go and POD Go Wireless feature the same HX^® Modeling technology found in our flagship processors, ensuring professional-quality tone and responsiveness,” says Eric Klein, Chief Product Design Architect, Line 6. “And the POD Go 2.0 update includes nearly every amp, cab, and effect model found in those processors.”

The POD Go 2.0 update introduces an entirely new speaker cabinet engine and includes 27 new guitar cabs and six new bass cabs, with a choice of 12 microphones—and you can change the angle, position, and distance of the mics in relation to the cabs. You can even drag the mics around in space for easier and more exact placement when using the POD Edit 2.0 application. In addition to the 33 new cabs, there are five new guitar amps, a new bass amp, and seven new effects.

POD Go provides a simple and intuitive workflow. Users may choose, edit, and control sounds utilizing the 4.3″ color LCD screen, seven push encoders, eight sturdy footswitches, colored LED rings, and a rugged cast-aluminum multi-function expression pedal. Two external footswitches or a second expression pedal may be connected for even more real-time control. Plus, sophisticated features such as Snapshots enable guitarists to easily access all the tones they’ll need to cover every section of every song.

POD Go features 94 amps, 72 cabs, and more than 250 effects, in addition to supporting third-party impulse response (IR) loading. Presets have nine simultaneous blocks, and external pedals may be inserted anywhere in the signal path via the effects loop.

All the essential audio connections are also available, including balanced stereo outputs, a duplicate amp output that can be tapped before the Cab/IR, a mono/stereo effects loop, a headphone jack, and even a 4-channel USB audio interface with re-amping capabilities.
