Bringing old DJ mixers back to life on the latest iOS, macOS and Windows
Ploytec GmbH/ Germany (June 5th, 2024) (ictw) – Audio specialist Ploytec has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its latest USB audio format converter “Ploytec Revival”.
How many practical devices – mixing consoles, DJ decks, controllers, and many others that sound great and provide exciting performances and creative workflows, unfortunately, fall out of their computer-based application when suddenly the USB protocol is no longer supported by new computers. Well, Ploytec Revival provides a good connection again.
The first version of Ploytec Revival will support the DJ mixing consoles XONE:2D, XONE:4D, and XONE:DB4. Other products with USB protocols that no longer work on current computers will follow in the future; Ploytec Revival can be updated via USB.
On May 18th, 2024 a working prototype was presented in a 20-minute presentation in the auditorium at the Berlin Superbooth Show. The Kickstarter campaign for Ploytec Revival runs until June 30, 20:00.
