San Dimas, California – Winzz Guitars has expanded its fretted instrument lineup with the EBS714 and EBS715 electric bass guitars. The new models pair neck-through construction and active electronics with four- and five-string configurations priced from $379.99.
Designed for stage and studio use, the Winzz EBS714 and EBS715 share the same 35-inch scale length, 24-fret fingerboard and dual-humbucker pickup configuration. The EBS714 is the four-string version, while the EBS715 adds a fifth string for an extended lower range.
Okoume and walnut neck-through construction
Both basses feature solid okoume body sides topped with walnut and finished in a matte coating. According to Winzz, the wood combination was selected to produce a resonant low end and balanced midrange response without adding excessive body weight.
A continuous okoume neck runs through the body of each instrument. The neck has a C-shaped profile and a 35-inch scale, while the 24-fret fingerboard is finished with shell inlays.
Winzz positions the extended scale and fast fingerboard for contemporary playing styles, including fusion, funk and metal. The neck-through design is also intended to improve stability and provide a consistent tonal foundation across the instrument.
Active humbuckers and three-band EQ
The Winzz EBS714 and EBS715 are equipped with an active dual-humbucker, or 2H, pickup configuration. Their onboard preamp provides a master volume control alongside a three-band equalizer.
Players can boost or cut the bass, middle and treble frequencies independently, allowing the output to be adjusted for different instruments, amplifiers and recording environments.
Both models also use a string-through-body design. The strings pass through the instrument to increase mechanical tension and sustain, according to the manufacturer. Chrome hardware completes the specification and is intended to support tuning stability during regular gigging and practice.
