Celemony Brings Tonalic Directly Into Cubase and Nuendo

Munich, Germany, June 3, 2026 – Celemony has integrated Tonalic directly into Steinberg’s Cubase and Nuendo through ARA, giving producers access to its session-musician performance library inside the DAW timeline.

The new Tonalic Cubase and Nuendo integration arrives with Cubase 15.0.30 and Nuendo 15.0.30. It places Tonalic inside the Right Zone of Steinberg’s flagship DAWs, where users can search, preview and arrange performances in context with a project’s chord track and tempo.

Tonalic Performances Now Work Inside the DAW Timeline

With the ARA integration, Tonalic’s library of more than 30 session musicians is available directly from the Cubase and Nuendo project window. Performances can be searched and previewed in context, then dragged onto the timeline for editing and arrangement.

Once placed in a project, Tonalic parts can be moved, extended and rearranged like audio or MIDI tracks. Celemony says the workflow is designed to make recorded performances feel like a native part of the production environment.

Real-Time Adaptation Using Melodyne DNA Technology

The Tonalic engine is built on Melodyne’s DNA technology. It adapts recorded performances in real time, following chord changes, tempo shifts and musical decisions made during production.

This allows producers to work with recorded session performances while still shaping them around the harmonic and rhythmic structure of a Cubase or Nuendo project.

Free Tonalic Essential Bundle for Eligible Steinberg Users

Customers with an active Cubase Pro 15, Cubase Artist 15 or Nuendo 15 license receive Tonalic essential as a free bundle.

Tonalic essential includes acoustic and electric guitar performances by Uwe Bossert, guitarist of the pop-rock band Reamonn, known for the song “Supergirl.” The edition is supplied as a perpetual license and serves as an entry point into the wider Tonalic product range.

Users who need more musicians, instruments or creative control can upgrade from Tonalic essential to larger Tonalic editions.

Tonalic Also Supports Other Major DAWs

Beyond Cubase and Nuendo, Tonalic runs in other major digital audio workstations as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in.

The plug-in is available through Tonalic as a monthly or annual subscription. Celemony is currently offering an introductory price of $1/€1 for the first month. Prepaid licenses with no subscription commitment, available for one month or one year, are sold through music dealers.
