Peavey Electronics has introduced the Nashville Session amplifier, a new high-headroom combo amp designed for pedal steel, guitar, fiddle and other instruments. The model combines elements of the vintage Peavey Nashville 400/112 and the Session/LTD 400 into one modern amplifier platform.
The Peavey Nashville Session amplifier is now available worldwide through online and local retailers.
A modern take on classic Peavey clean tones
Built around a 200-watt RMS power section into 4 ohms, the Nashville Session is aimed at players who need clean output, flexible EQ control and stage-ready reliability. Peavey says the signal path begins with an extremely high-impedance input buffer circuit, designed to preserve a clean and pristine sound.
The preamp uses high-quality film capacitors, while miniaturized circuitry is intended to support quiet performance. The amp also includes a toggle switch that lets players move between two distinct voicing and control layouts.
Session and Nashville modes offer flexible EQ control
In Session mode, the amplifier offers Gain with active Low, High and Presence controls, plus passive Mid and Mid Shift controls. In Nashville mode, players get Gain with active 3-band EQ, along with active Mid Shift and Presence controls.
The front panel also includes a footswitchable buffered effects loop with 1/4-inch input and output, a footswitchable reverb section with Plate and Spring options, and a Master volume control.
Built for pedal steel, clean guitar and effects-based rigs
While the Nashville Session is clearly positioned toward pedal steel players, Peavey is also targeting guitarists and other musicians looking for a lightweight, high-headroom pedal and effects platform for recording or live performance.
Rear-panel features include a 9VDC auxiliary power supply, full-range headphone output, XLR Direct Out interface with Level control, PreAmp Out and Power Amp In connections.
112 and 115 combo versions available
The combo cabinet is made from 15mm poplar plywood, selected for a balance of low weight and durability. Peavey is offering the Nashville Session in 112 and 115 configurations, both featuring newly designed speakers voiced for modern pedal steel and clean guitar applications.
The Nashville Session 112 weighs 25.7 lbs., while the Nashville Session 115 weighs 26.8 lbs. The amplifier also includes Peavey’s revamped DDT speaker protection, designed to support use in rehearsal rooms, studios and larger stage environments.
