Guitarist, journalist and educator Guy Lee has released Guitar Crossword & WordSearch, a 192-page puzzle book built around guitar history, terminology, influential players and iconic equipment.
Published through Guytar Publishing, the book contains 100 puzzles divided evenly between 50 crosswords and 50 word searches. It is available through Amazon for $14.99.
100 Puzzles Covering Guitar History and Culture
Guitar Crossword & WordSearch draws heavily on what Lee describes as the guitar’s “Golden Age,” spanning the 1950s through the 1980s, while also including references from earlier and later periods.
The puzzles explore music terminology, guitar history, notable musicians, influential products and well-known gear. Their subject matter extends across jazz, rock, country, flamenco, classical, blues, bluegrass and other guitar-based genres.
A combined answer key and reference section is included at the back of the book, allowing readers to check their solutions and learn more about the subjects covered.
Created by Guitarist and Educator Guy Lee
Lee brings experience as a working musician, author and teacher to the project. According to the publisher, he has performed close to 300 dates per year, released solo albums and written six previous guitar education books.
“The guitar is a fascinating instrument with a diverse and interesting history. I believe that the more you know about the guitar, the better musician you will ultimately be.”
The publisher positions the book as both an activity title and a guitar reference resource for musicians, teachers, collectors and readers interested in the instrument’s history.
