Eventide Audio has introduced the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2, a new compact multi-effects pedal that brings the company’s H90-era processing platform to the H9 format. Released on June 24, 2026, the pedal expands the original H9 concept with 74 algorithms, more than 1,000 presets, modern connectivity, and compatibility with legacy H9 presets.
Announced from Little Ferry, New Jersey, the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 is designed for guitarists, vocalists, producers, and live performers who need Eventide’s flagship effects in a single-algorithm pedal format.
H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 Expands the Eventide Algorithm Library
The new Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 builds on the H9 Max platform and expands it to the full 74-algorithm lineup from the H90. The library covers delay, reverb, pitch-shifting, granular processing, vocal effects, and synth manipulation.
Eventide says this makes the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 the broadest collection of its effects ever assembled in a single-algorithm pedal.
Updated Workflow, Larger Display and Direct Parameter Control
The H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 introduces a redesigned user interface with a larger display, three Quick Knobs, button pads, and dedicated workflow modes. Select, Perform, Preset, and Parameter Modes are intended to make editing and live performance faster directly from the pedal.
Unlike earlier app-dependent workflows, the new pedal offers full parameter control from the hardware itself. USB-C connectivity also links the unit to the Eventide Control app for deeper editing and management.
“We couldn’t leave the H9 behind,” said Russell Wedelich, President and CTO of Eventide Audio. “So, borrowing from H90, we preserved all the cherished Eventide FX, leaving plenty of room for future innovation.”
Modern Processing and Flexible Routing for Live and Studio Use
The H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 uses modern ARM-based processing, updated converters, and improved overall fidelity. The pedal also supports true spillover between presets, allowing effects to continue naturally during preset changes.
For integration into different rigs, the pedal includes dual instrument and line-level I/O, flexible Wet/Dry and Pre/Post routing, two programmable footswitches, HotKnob and HotSwitch macro control, and a built-in tuner.
The pedal can be used on pedalboards, in amp effects loops, in hybrid live rigs, and in studio setups. With the Harmonizer+ suite and Eventide’s MixingLink, sold separately, Eventide also positions the unit as a tool for vocal transformation.
Compatible with H9 Classic Presets
Eventide has confirmed that H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 remains fully compatible with H9 Classic presets. Existing H9 users can therefore move their sounds into the updated platform while gaining access to the expanded H90-based algorithm library.
