AKRON, OHIO, December 2024 – EarthQuaker Devices is commemorating their 20th Anniversary with a special hyper-limited edition of the Hoof fuzz. It features the same hand soldered through-hole construction and super rare military spec germanium transistors that were used in the original version that launched EarthQuaker Devices 20 years ago.
“The original Hoof was finely tuned to produce everything from light overdrive to a thick sustaining wall of fuzz with a wide range tone control that featured pre-set mods in lieu of the “shift” control found on later models. We always loved this original circuit and we are pleased to bring it back for our 20th Anniversary!” says Jamie Stillman, President / Founder / Product Designer.
This limited edition of 400 units comes in a Platinum Vein enclosure with black print. It’s packaged in a custom wooden box and satin bag and is bundled with an exclusive enamel pin, woven patch and metallic sticker. Each product manual is numbered and signed by Jamie Stillman for authenticity.
