HELSINKI, Finland – Darkglass has introduced the Anagram Guitar Essentials Limited Edition, a new multi-effects processor and digital modeling platform aimed specifically at guitarists. Developed in collaboration with Sweetwater and Andertons, the release combines a curated library of classic guitar tones with the company’s open, updateable KosmOS ecosystem.
The Darkglass Anagram Guitar Essentials Limited Edition is being offered as a one-time, limited production run and will be sold exclusively through Sweetwater and Andertons channels. The unit carries a street price of $1,299.99 USD.
A Curated Guitar Library Built Into Anagram
At launch, the Guitar Essentials edition includes 15 built-in models: 12 legendary amplifiers and 3 iconic pedals. According to Darkglass, the selection was co-developed with Sweetwater and Andertons to cover core electric guitar sounds, including American clean tones, British crunch, high-gain amplifiers, and boutique overdrive.
The release marks Anagram’s first curated collection designed specifically for guitar players. Rather than positioning the device only as a conventional multi-effects unit, Darkglass describes Anagram as a plugin-compatible platform that can host new models, content, and capabilities over time.
KosmOS Powers an Open, Updateable Platform
The hardware runs on KosmOS, Darkglass’ underlying operating system for the Anagram platform. The system is designed to receive updates after launch, allowing users to expand the device beyond its factory-installed library.
Expansion takes place through the Anagram Marketplace, where players and creators can access free and premium third-party content. The platform also allows music producers, sound engineers, musicians, and developers to publish custom content, including plugins, modeling, and impulse responses.
Darkglass says the open architecture is intended to remove traditional limits on signal-chain expansion and tone-shaping flexibility. Users can also install and try new software before purchasing it, making the platform adaptable for studio, performance, and production workflows.
Visual Interfaces Recreate Classic Hardware Workflows
The Anagram Guitar Essentials edition uses a highly visual interface in which each amplifier and pedal model features its own 3D-rendered graphical UI. These digital interfaces are designed to mirror the physical controls of the original hardware, giving players and engineers a familiar way to adjust settings.
The limited-edition hardware also features a distinctive matte black chassis with shiny black knobs. For portability, the package includes a premium leather carrying case for transport between studio sessions, rehearsals, and live dates.
Designed for Studio Production and Portable Performance
Darkglass positions Anagram as a bridge between studio production and portable performance. The platform gives guitarists, producers, and engineers access to a large library of digital models without relying on extensive outboard gear.
The Anagram Guitar Essentials Limited Edition is available as an exclusive release through Sweetwater and Andertons. More information about the broader ecosystem and plugin library is available through the official Anagram Marketplace.
