Cream T Custom Shop Launches Apollo Guitar with Guitar-X Pickup System

Guitar Pro 8 - Buy now

Cream T Custom Shop has introduced the Apollo, a new UK-built electric guitar that brings the company’s patented Guitar-X pickup swapping system to its Custom Shop line. The first production run has already sold out, with the full release now available for pre-order through Cream T Custom Shop.

The Cream T Apollo is designed for players who want a handcrafted instrument with flexible tones for home use, studio work and live performance. Prices start from £2,699, with four signature colour options available: Terra Burst, Gold Top, Dirty Lemon and Iced Tea.

A New Addition to the Cream T Custom Shop Line

The Apollo has been developed as a premium, hand-built guitar made in the UK by Cream T’s in-house team. Each instrument features a hand-aged finish, Pearlite inlays and a construction focused on playability, tone and visual detail.

The model combines classic styling with modern hardware functionality, aiming to give players quick access to different sounds without major setup changes.

The Apollo pairs traditional guitar construction with Cream T’s Guitar-X pickup swapping system, allowing players to change pickups without re-stringing, soldering or re-wiring the instrument.

Guitar-X Pickup Swapping System

A key feature of the Cream T Apollo is the Guitar-X system, Cream T’s patented pickup swapping design. The system allows players to change pickups quickly, making it possible to alter the guitar’s tone without the usual technical work involved in replacing pickups.

The Apollo comes bundled as standard with Cream T “Cream Of The Crop” pickups. According to Cream T, the guitar is built to deliver a full-bodied, crunchy sound while maintaining versatility across different playing environments.

Mahogany Body, Maple Top and Rosewood Fretboard

The Cream T Apollo features a premium mahogany body, maple top and rosewood fretboard. This combination is intended to provide a balance of sustain, warmth, definition and striking aesthetics.

Additional visual details include Pearlite inlays and a tasteful hand-aged finish, reinforcing the guitar’s Custom Shop positioning.

Built on Cream T’s Guitar-Making Heritage

Cream T has built its reputation over more than two decades through handcrafted pickups, guitars and artist collaborations. The company is known internationally for its focus on craftsmanship, innovation and work with respected musicians.

A major milestone for the brand was its collaboration with Billy Gibbons on the Cream T Aurora. That model drew inspiration from three of Gibbons’ favourite instruments: the Les Paul, Telecaster and Martin acoustic. The Aurora helped establish the foundation for Cream T’s guitar range and contributed to the brand’s reputation for distinctive instruments with individual visual and sonic identities.

Since the Aurora launch, Cream T has expanded its portfolio with several UK-built models aimed at professional musicians and players seeking premium handcrafted instruments.
