A 23-year company veteran steps into executive leadership, proving the power of experience, hustle, and deep product knowledge

Bend, OR — July 28, 2025Breedlove Guitars has announced the promotion of longtime team member Angela Christensen to Vice President of Operations, a move that underscores the company’s belief in homegrown leadership and deep acoustic guitar expertise.

Christensen’s story reads like a blueprint for working your way to the top. Hired on the spot in 2002 after stopping by the original Breedlove factory in Tumalo, Oregon, she began her career milling braces and processing raw wood. Over the next two decades, she would go on to master nearly every aspect of the business—from custom inlay and final assembly to wood procurement, supply chain logistics, inventory systems, and product development.

“Angela didn’t just grow with the company – she helped build it,” said co-owner Pete Mroz. “She’s been part of every major chapter in the Breedlove story, and no one is better equipped to help lead us into the next one.”

In her new role, Christensen will oversee operations across the entire business: U.S. production, product design, sales, marketing, and go-to-market strategy.

“This opportunity is the culmination of years spent on the shop floor, in the wood room, on sourcing trips, and in development meetings,” Christensen said. “It’s incredibly rewarding – and I’m excited to help shape what’s next.”

Her first focus is strategic simplification. With a new ownership team and evolving market demands, Christensen is leading a company-wide effort to streamline product offerings and refocus on Breedlove’s core strength: building innovative, stunning, and great-sounding guitars in the U.S.

“We’re going back to the roots – refining our U.S.-made lineup and doubling down on what we do best,” she said. “The goal is clarity. A tighter product line, purposeful design, and guitars that connect with players from the moment they pick one up.”

Christensen was also a key architect of the company’s internal systems—developing inventory infrastructure, material traceability programs, and cost modeling. She played an integral role in launching the U.S.-built Bedell Guitars line and has long served as a cross-departmental bridge between production, marketing, and sales.

“You can’t lead operations from behind a desk,” she said. “You have to understand every part, every process, and every person who touches the product. That’s what I’ve tried to do.”

As Breedlove enters a new chapter with renewed creative energy and a bold vision for the future, Christensen’s leadership signals a return to foundational values: craftsmanship, uncompromising acoustic sound, and putting in the work.
