Middletown, New York, September 1, 2026 – Avantone Pro has introduced the GTR-100, a two-channel Class A/B power amplifier developed specifically for guitarists using modern amp modelers and effects processors. The rackmount unit combines stereo operation, up to 245 watts in bridged mono mode and direct connectivity for live and recording setups.
The Avantone Pro GTR-100 is designed to amplify modeler-based guitar tones with high headroom and minimal coloration. Its solid-state architecture also avoids the weight and maintenance requirements commonly associated with traditional tube amplifier systems.
Class A/B amplification with flexible power options
The GTR-100 delivers 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 140 watts per channel at 4 ohms. When operated in bridged mono mode, the amplifier provides 245 watts at 8 ohms.
Switchable Line and Inst inputs allow users to connect the amplifier to a guitar modeler, pedalboard or standalone effects pedal while matching the input impedance to the respective signal source.
“The GTR-100 was designed for players who have fully embraced modern modeling platforms but still need reliable, high-performance stage amplification,” said Avantone Pro’s Seth Berman. “It delivers the power and clarity required for live performance while maintaining the exact tonal characteristics users have dialed in.”
Stereo effects and integrated cabinet simulation
Stereo inputs and outputs enable guitarists to use delays, modulation effects and other stereo processing in live performance environments. Independent volume controls for both channels provide separate output-level adjustment.
A switchable four-band equalizer allows players to adapt their sound to different venues and speaker systems. The amplifier also includes XLR THRU outputs with an optional analog Cab Sim, or cabinet simulation.
This output configuration can send a processed signal directly to a front-of-house mixing system or recording device without placing microphones in front of the connected speaker cabinets.
A 14-stage input and output metering system provides visual level monitoring for gain staging and signal control.
Compact 1U design for touring rigs
Avantone Pro houses the GTR-100 in a compact, lightweight 1U rackmount chassis. Reinforced metal handles extend beyond the front-panel controls to help protect the knobs and switches during transport.
Rear-mounted rack rails are intended to simplify cable management in touring systems. The amplifier also features a low-noise cooling fan and protection circuitry, with front-panel LEDs indicating conditions that could affect the amplifier or connected speakers.
