“The SL 112’s Big Bro!”
NEW YORK, NY — Aguilar Amplification, manufacturer of high-quality bass amplifiers, speaker cabinets, pickups and effects pedals for bassists is pleased to announce the SL 212 bass cabinet. The SL 212 joins its little brother, the SL 112 as part of Aguilar’s SL line of cabinets; the first super lightweight bass cabinets with no compromise in tone.
The SL 212 offers an unprecedented balance of performance and weight. At only 45 lbs. (20.41 kg), this 4 ohm cabinet handles 500 watts RMS. With a frequency response of 37 Hz–16 kHz, the SL 212 provides the deep lows, articulate midrange and smooth treble for which Aguilar is known for.
The SL 212 also features two custom-voiced woofers with Neodymium magnets and a phenolic tweeter with variable level control. The cabinet includes one Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4” inputs as well as a specially designed crossover. “We spent a lot of time working on the crossover design to arrive at the smoothest possible frequency transitions. The ultra-light ply and subsequent cabinet tuning were also critical factors in achieving the signature tone of the SL 212,” says Dave Boonshoft, President of Aguilar.
The SL 212 is in stores now!
